Summary of Qualifications Sr. UNIX System Administrator focusing on UNIX Scripting, system/network troubleshooting, virtualization and clustering. Predominately, I've worked with AIX, HP-UX and Linux; however, I have also worked with IRIX, Tru64/OSF1, Solaris and various other flavors of UNIX/Linux - virtualization/clustering. Currently, I'm working as a Sr. UNIX System Administrator for HLC, but my previous experience includes IBM and HP. I was responsible for 1,000+ servers at IBM and over 300 at HP. I have also completed extensive training in Virtualization, Clustering, Linux, AIX, HP MC/Service Guard, HACMP, Veritas Netbackup, Perl Programming and HP-UX 10.X/11.X troubleshooting.

  • February 1996 - July 2002, Sr. UNIX Sys Admin, US West Comm., Denver, CO Senior UNIX System Administrator responsible for testing and upgrading a MC/Service Guard Cluster consisting of 6 HP K580's. Instructed 25 staff members in MC/Service guard. Installed and configured a MC/Service Guard Cluster running 10 packages within the cluster. Optimized all of the servers within the cluster for MC/Service Guard and Oracle. Operating system hardware and software upgrades.
